This describes the wide range of cybersecurity risks that current mobile financial services are vulnerable to. This was originally intended as a training resource for financial regulators, supervisory authorities, and mobile financial service providers, but it has now been published for general use.
  • 6 Things You May Not Know About Biometrics, which describes the strengths and shortcomings of current biometric technologies. This was intended for use by financial service operators, to assist them in avoiding some of the more common pitfalls of biometrics.
  • The Biometric Balancing Act in Digital Finance, an introductory blog for those new to biometrics, which describes some of the strengths and weaknesses of the technologies, and the balance that needs to be struck between usability and security.
  • Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, and Curbing the Financing of Terrorismwas written for FSD Africa, and describes the regulatory pressures on banks and other financial service providers that have led them to ‘de-risk’ operations in a number of countries.
